hi yes the serial numbers are sometimes marked, simply to stop seiko tracing back to the suppliers so they dont get into trouble, the warranty is not international, afterall you did buy off ebay at a very reduced priced, we cannot offer the international warranty at such low prices as it costs us a lot more. However we do offer a 1 year warranty and we have never had a seiko back, hope this helps.
