This automatic winding system uses for the first time ceramic ball bearing. This allows the bearing to rotate without any kind of lubricant. The disposition of the 3 bearings let the peripheral oscillating weight rotate smoothly and efficiently around the movement.
The efficiency of winding is defined by the rapport of the gearing and the weight of the peripheral rotor. Therefore by adjusting the weight of the rotor one can influence the winding cycle. We have chosen the best compromise between quick winding, global lifecycle of the system, and shock resistance. As for example this system uses a much lighter weight than a ETA 2894-2 for the same winding time, with place it as a safe and efficient system with high technology content.
