Dating a vintage JAZ clock is easy for the collector. Until 1941, JAZ clocks only had the inscription 'JAZ' above the number 6 on the clock face. From 1942 until 1967 a little bird (Jaseur Boreal) was added above the JAZ inscription with one very significant detail - the bird's tail is directed downward. Clocks made by JAZ from 1967 to 1975 have the bird's tail directed upward. After 1975 the word JAZ is inscribed below the number 12.
