Good Day Mr. Schultz,
Thank you for your recent email to Omega Customer Care.
All Omega Seamasters are tested in accordance to the International Organization for Standardization for water resistant. Both ISO 2281 / ISO 6425 are different levels of water resistant testing. Your Seamaster was tested using ISO 6425.
Yes, Omega watches are tested to be shock resistant to 5000G which is 5000 times’ normal gravity. This level is tested with one direct impact and not continuous impacts.
We hope this information is of use to you. If you have any questions please contact our Customer Care Department at 1-877-839-5224 or email us at sgcst@swatchgroup.com.
Sincerely,
Omega Customer Care

Так же, спец.ресурс, посвященный другой серии РО гласит:
Цитата:
Diving watches such as the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean series are held to strict standards, defined by the ISO 6425 specification. At the very minimum, watches that claim to be diving watches must resist up to 100 meters of water. But in addition, they must have a unidirectional rotating bezel that has a minimum of markings for every 5 minutes, must be readable from a quarter meter in total darkness, must have clearly distinguished single minute markers on the face of the watch, must indicate that the watch is running in some way during total darkness (most watches have an illuminated second hand), must be resistant to magnetic interference (so that it will remain at plus or minus 30 seconds accuracy each day, in spite of interfering magnetic fields), must withstand heavy shocks without significant changes in accuracy (no more than 1 minute per day), must be rust resistant when exposed to salinized water (such as salty sea water), must resist 45 pounds of force applied to the watch band in each direction without doing damage to the watch or band attachment point, and if the watch is battery powered, it must in some way signal that its battery is approaching empty.
Though there is no global enforcement body that can force manufacturers to abide by the ISO 6425 standard when selling watches as diving watches, most reputable manufacturers do live up to this standard whenever they sell a diving watch. Because the ISO 6425 standard specifies a variety of features that typical watches do not have, the typical diving watch usually quite a bit larger and heavier than a traditional watch.

Тhere is no certification. There is no registration.
ISO 6425 is not a certified process specification. There is no such thing as a certified "diver's watch." Do not confuse ISO 6425 with other processes and specification requiring certification or indepentdent inspection.
ISO 764, ISO 1413, ISO 2281, ISO 3157, ISO 3160 and ISO 6425 are descriptive specifications.
These normalize the requirements and test methods for product description. In all of these specifications their is no requirement for independent testing by a neutral body.
For example, when you look at the tag on your undershirt that says "100% cotton" you you think that there are not impurities or stray material that accidently got sucked in the spinner making it 99.9999% cotton? Or, if the tag says "60/40% Cotton/Polyester" if the mixture happens to be 60.5% and 39.5% is that OK or not?
The answer is in the various specifications for materials published by ISO, ASTM, DIN, JSA etc... The same for "diver's watches", the term is there solely for the consumer's benefit, nothing more.
