The limited edition DSTB (Dial Side True Beat) is a celebration of Arnold & Son’s 250th anniversary, and arrives with the kind of attention to detail that collectors have come to expect. Launching as part of the Instrument Collection, the DSTB boasts an 18-carat red gold 43.5mm casing coupled with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and caseback that offers a window to the precision movement.
Arnold & Son has carved its reputation due to its excellent mechanics and complicated yet functional movements. The true beat seconds’ mechanism is completely visible on the dial side, showcasing the lever, hands, wheels, and three rose-gold treated true beat seconds bridges. Arnold’s heritage as a maritime watchmaker is fittingly highlighted by the anchor shaped true beat seconds’ lever.
A large sapphire dial sits to the top left of the hour and minute clock, showing in full detail the true beat seconds, while the sub-dial clock is finished with white lacquer and blued hands. The self-winding calibre A&S6003 has 229 components, a quite exceptional feat, while the movement sports Haute Horlogerie finishing complete hand-chamfered and satin-finished lever and bridges, polished edges and Côtes de Genève rayonnantes.
As a limited edition, only 50 examples of the 250th anniversary edition of the DSTB will be produced.
