Swiss Watch Exports Grow In August
(RTTNews) - Swiss watch exports grew 13.2% in August from the previous year, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry said Thursday. The value of watch exports amounted to 1.018 billion francs. Meanwhile, the wristwatch export volume fell 7.0% in August.
The report said that main export markets showed mixed results in August. Exports to Hong Kong recorded a strong progress and reached a level above than that of the United States. Exports to the U.S. and Japan declined, while watch exports to Singapore improved. There were disparities in Europe as watch exports to France grew, while exports to Germany stagnated and shipments to Italy dropped.
