Master 1000 Hours test.

Test 1
Places each Master 1000 Hours watch on a machine which imparts о тс-and-fro rotating movement and subjects it to о number of the kind of light calculated shocks typical of daily use, automatically rewinding it. The goal of this test is to check that the mainspring shows a normal degree of tension and to ensure that oil watch components are correctly fixed in their appointed place.
Test 2
Is intended to check the perfect adjustment of the balance-spring, which returns the balance to its position of equilibrium, ensures equal oscillations and governs the regularity of rate of the watch, The measurement is based on tests performed in six different positions simulating conditions of regular wear.
Test3
Allows watchmakers to check the power-reserve, meaning the time it takes for the mainspring to release its energy and ensure the watch continues to function independently,
Test 4
Confirms the resistance to variations in temperature of the alloys used for the balance-spring and the balance. If they dilate, this would affect the reliability of the watch. The test is carried out in the kind of extreme weather conditions which the watch might have to face when worn, After being placed at a room temperature of 22°C, it is moved to an environment at 4°C, meaning a difference of 18°C. Finally, it has to withstand a temperature of 40°C inside a special case.
Test5

By the end of this test, the longest in the Master 1000 Hours series, the smooth running of the watch can be fully guaranteed.
Test 6
To ensure the watch is protected against any intrusion, an air test checks the infallibility of the water-tightness gaskets of each Master 1000 Hours. The watch is placed under pressures ranging between 5 to 20 atmospheres depending on the models, within a predefined volume, Any variation in volume would warn of a possible leak. Only after emerging victorious from 1000 hours of testing, is each individual watch granted the Master 1000 Hours title.
