This is a GUB Glashutte Urofa 59 Chronograph from the late 50’s early 60’s in gold filled with steel back. The handsome fixed domed bezel waterproof case, and even more attractive opaline dial with blue and red scales, applied Arabic numerals and arrowhead markers plus some lovely dauphine hands…all of that pales compared to the remarkable engine that powers it, the Urofa 59 movement. Almost certainly one of the best quality chronograph movements of the era any watch that carries it is a baseline 'good' watch (sort of like the caliber 11, Valjoux 72, 30-CH, etc.). A wearable Cold War throwback that offers up some serious quality to go with its mid-century good looks.
