Greetings from Italy

Hi all,
sorry for writing in English (and my English is bad too), anyway i wanted to join to this nice forum.

My name is Michele and i'm moderator of the Watchuseek Russian Watch Forum (WUS).

I'm interested in Russian watches since i was 13 (1988), when Russia was still USSR and Russian watches became to be available in Italy too. They were very expensive (first models were available only in jewelries strange but true!), so i began with an horrible Chinese copy that broke after 2 days.

My first, "real" Russian watch was an octagonal Amphibia with blue dial, received in 1991, then i began to buy Komandirskie brought in Italy by Polish sellers at flea markets.

Since some years i began to collect them in massive way - today i have approximately 350 watches. Also, i have introduced Russian watches on Italian watch boards some years ago, initially meeting lot of criticism and snobism. Today Russian watches are much more considered by serious collectors.

Congratulations for the nice forum, i'm messing with the automatic translator to read it more frequently.
