для сравнения, Longines свои первые собственные механизмы выпустили в 1867, все заводились ключами (это через 20 лет после LeCoultre без ключей), выше бронзовых медалей не получали, вот они и являлись "обычными массовыми машинками" в тех же Буре для железнодорожников.
p.s. в "ориентировке на $2000" предельно ясно, что цена не столько за часы, сколько за бывшего владельца, однако ясно так же, что обычный ширпотреб (аналог сегодняшнего китая или массового swatch-а) у Геринга вряд-ли был бы обнаружен.
