Slawa 4302 Balance staff
Hello,
my name is Dirk and I'm from Germany and I do restore old watches as a hobby. I found a pocket watch with a Slawa 4302 caliber from 1940 and I need to replace the balance staff. Would it be possible to get the measurements for the balance staff or a balance staff number? Some pictures of the watch are on my website: http://dirkfassbender.de/4302.html Best regards Dirk |
There were no Slawas (Slavas) in the 1940, the Slava brand name appeared much later in the 1960s if not as late as the 1970s.
What you are referring to is Kirovskie / Kirowskie K-43 which may have been produced by the 2nd Moscow Watch Factory which only much later became known as Slava. |
I'm pretty sure that the watch and movement are a Slawa 4302. The markings/writings on the movement correspond with the one mentioned in the watch wiki: http://watch-wiki.org/index.php?title=Slawa_4302
Is there something like a spare part list with measurements available at all about the Russian movements? Can somebody maybe translate this into the Russian pocket watch part on my behalf? Thank's Dirk |
It's definitely a Kirovskie K-43 watch. Originally a K-43 Lip movement. Or maybe Hampden. They were produced by several factories. This one was apparently made by the 2nd Moscow watch FActory, years before its watches were known as Slavas
what I'm not sure whether it's type 1 or type ii http://forums.watchuseek.com/f10/thr...da-753532.html |
